Chiara Bonetti (born 1986, Modena) is an Italian self-made photographer and director, based between Germany and Italy.
Her practice focuses on projects concerning cultural issues, particular aspects of subcultures, rarely documented communities that are united by a shared identity, passion or cultural heritage.
Her research is driven by the need to explore themes such as identity, memories, traditions, rituals that unite individuals as a collectivity and that are often about to vanish with the rush to modernity.
She is interested in true and tangible character-focused stories, often told by combining photography and video. Fueled by a passion for adventure, Matt moves between remote mountains, deserts, and cities, always with his camera in hand. His experience in studios and on set merges with his attraction to the unknown, resulting in powerful imagery where fashion meets travel and the adrenaline of outdoor sports.
